Abstract
An analysis of innovation and market globalization. After a general introduction with a study of globalization in its positive and negative aspects, it analyzes opportunities and threats which have arisen with market globalization and innovation in Central Asian countries. Experts from NATO and CIS countries, among others, review the possibilities and consequences of the globalization of innovation processes and discuss NATO-CIS co-operation projects. The book supplies an overview of the following subjects: innovation policies and assessment of strategies and their impact on market globalization in the future; Central Asian political-economic environment and identification of economic strategic factors; identification of innovation positive impacts on economy to promote further efforts towards co-operation among Western countries and Central Asian states; and the study and appraisal of theoretical and practical possibilities for supporting information exchange among SMEs, analyzing new telematic networks and their world-wide use.
