Abstract

This paper illustrates practical experience gained in-house on the use of the Rankine-source free-surface potential flow code in ship design methodology. A brief description of the procedure and of the correlation/validation work previously carried out is given. An application concerning the selection of the forebody hull forms for a ferry design is presented.
