Abstract
This paper presents a program WCFX for calculating deflections according to the elastic layer system theory and a backcalculation program GADEF of pavement layer moduli based on an improved Genetic Algorithm to avoid the premature phenomenon in propagating procedures. By comparison of some examples, the program is proved to be effective to improve the problems of accuracy and convergence for backcalculation of moduli, and fast in calculation speed. Therefore, this program can be used to backcalculate and analyze the data of deflection basin from Falling Weight Deflectometer (FWD) to evaluate pavement properties.
