Abstract

This article discusses the traffic options available to the central business district in Detroit as the city gets ready for major improvements. Parking structures are being constructed, and slums are being removed. Work is underway on the expressway system and traffic routes are under discussion. The Civic Center is nearing completion and the Woodward Corridor - forming the northern entry to the central business district, is in the process of change. Other topics covered in the article include the West Side Industrial Project, residential plans, residential parking, and parking in the central business district.
