Abstract

This article discusses bus and transit services from a business perspective, looks at the inherent difficulties in bus transit profitability, and makes suggestions aimed at more successful promotion of bus transit services. Some of the recommendations include: personalizing bus services; better presentation of bus travel in marketing efforts; and cleaner, more attractive buses, both inside and outside of the vehicle.
