Abstract

Purpose: Methods: To determine the effect of pterygium excision on pterygium induced astigmatism. A statistical comparison of the refractive astigmatism before and after effective pterygium surgery was done on 30 patients who underwent preoperative and postoperative refraction testing. pterygium surgery caused si Results: gnicant improvements in visual acuity, with the rule astigmatism. The corneal astigmatism tended to decrease s Conclusion: ignicantly following pterygium excision with conjunctival limbal autograft transplantation.
