Abstract

Objective To analysis the refractive and ocular vision acuity changes of pre-and post-operation in primary pterygium eyes.Methods A total of 27 eyes of 23 cases with primary pterygium were included in the study.All eyes experienced pterygium excision and autologous bural conjuntiva transplantion.The pterygia length from limbus to apex,astigmatism pre-and post-operation,un-correctedvision acuity and best corrected vision acuity pre-and post-operation were measured.Results The average ptregia head length was 3.11 4±0.87 mm,average pre-operation astigmatism degree was 2.98±1.34 D,average post-operation astigmatism degree was 1.00±0.52 D,The visual acuity change and astigmatism change in pre-and post-operation had a statistic significance.Conclusions The mainly refractive change induced by pterygium is hyperopia astigmatism,surgery can low the astigmatism degree and improve the visual acuity.
