Abstract

Several years of faunistic studies of tachinids (Diptera: Tachinidae) were carried out in the Pleszew district (Wielkopolsko-Kujawska Lowland). During the research 114 species of these flies were identified. In collected material the most numerous was the subfamily Phasiinae (710 records, 47% of material), known as parasitoids of larval and adult bugs (Hemiptera). The dominant species turned out to be Elomya lateralis (Meigen, 1824) (151 records), for the first time reported in Poland in the 1980s. Phytomyptera minutissima (Zetterstedt, 1844) was identified as a species new for the fauna of PolandP
