Abstract
The degree of compaction has a significant impact on the deformation and stability of the roadbed. In this paper, a numerical simulation model is established based on the actual situation of a highway project, and the filling rate of the horizontally layered roadbed is analyzed under the condition of 2m/month, the loose paving thickness of 25cm, and filling height of 8 meters. The influence of compaction degree on subgrade deformation is studied. The step-by-step loading analysis using ABAQUS software shows that the horizontal displacement of the subgrade mainly occurs in the soil layer below the toe of the slope; the maximum horizontal displacement to the outside of the embankment is 19.7 mm for expanding to the surrounding area; the maximum settlement of the graded filling occurs in the subgrade filling.
