Abstract
In order to improve the compaction degree of rock-soil filled high subgrade,the test of impact compaction was employed. The test results demonstrate that the effect of using impact roller to strengthen and improve the compaction degree of high subgrade is obvious. It can improve the compaction degree at 6. 5% in average and up to 10%. According to the compaction results( i. e.,average settlement of subgrade after impact compaction,effective depth of impact compaction to strengthen the compaction degree of subgrade,the variation of density and porosity of filling soil after impact compaction),the impact compaction time to improve the compaction degree of high subgrade,the supporting machinery and construction technology were determined. The test results can offer the reliable construction parameters with respect to impact compaction to the filling highway sections.
