Abstract

Methods for the synthesis of isotopically labelled N-methyl amines using the target amine and isotopically labelled methyl iodide in a quaternisation/dequaternisation strategy are described. The method has been further refined to allow the synthesis of such amines without any isotopic dilution. Copyright © 1998 John Wiley & Sons, Ltd.
