Abstract
Values are tabulated for the relevant physicochemical properties of 1,1-dichloroethane and 1.2-dichloroethane and the most important solvent properties of these two solvents are discussed. Examples of typical electrochemical studies in these two solvents are presented. Common impurities present in commercial 1,1-dichloroethane and 1,2-dichloroethane are listed and recommended purification procedures are described.
