Abstract
Guitar is one of the most common instruments and the interest in learning guitar is at an all-time high. A web app which helps users learn guitar using augmented reality has been proposed. It teaches users to learn guitar by projecting the strings that are to be pressed on the guitar in the user’s camera feed. Now, all the user has to do is to press the highlighted strings to play a particular song. The app uses AR markers to get the position of the guitar strings to be highlighted. This method of learning guitar provides real time visual feedback to the user and therefore helps users learn guitar by the same speed as traditional methods but without the need of an instructor therefore making musical education accessible to more people.
