Abstract
The present experiment was conducted to study the effects of different arsenic(As) concentrations on seeds germination and seedling growth in alfalfa,Vicia villosa and Cajanus cajan. The results showed slightly high rates of seed germination in alfalfa at 0~5 mg.kg-1 As concentration. The increased As concentration(over 5 mg.kg-1) showed strong inhibitory effects on the seed germination in three green manure seeds.Further, the inhibitory effects on roots were higher compared to that on buds. The results revealed that Vicia villosa had the highest Arsenic tolerance followed by the alfalfa and Cajanus cajan.
