Bud Differentiation Process and Morphological Observation of Bellamy and Summergold Navel Orange in Guangxi Guilin

Adopting paraffin method,the property of flower bud differentiation and morphology of Bellamy and Summergold navel orange were studied in this paper.The results showed that flower bud differentiation time of Bellamy and Summergold showed certain coincidence in Guilin,but the initial stage of flower bud differentiation process was distracted.The flower bud differentiation started in early December,arrived its peak period duringlate December to early January next year and ended in late February next year.Sepal differentiation started in late December and arrived its peak period during late January to early February next year.Petal differentiation stage was observed to initiate in early January next year and arrive its peak period during middle February to early March next year.Stamen differentiation stage was observed to initiate in late January and early February next year.The developing process of the flower bud differentiation of Bellamy and Summergold were relatively long.The length and width of the flower bud could be regarded as a reference index to judge the developing stage during flower bud differentiation.
