The Origin of the Lagging Development of Confucianism Education in Guangxi Tusi Area in Ming Dynasty from the Comparative Perspective: One of the series of study on the history of education in Guangxi

In the Ming Dynasty,the Central Government paid great attention to the Confucian education development in the Tusi area of southwestern borderland,which led to great developments in the field of official school,academy,social studies,and so on. The Imperial Examination also achieved some achievements. However,after carefully comparing with the area of Yunnan,Guizhou and Guangxi,we can found that the development of Confucianism in the Ming Dynasty is relatively backward in the Tusi area of Guangxi.Its achievements in the imperial examinations and the construction of the academy are relatively weak. Even compared with the various regions in Guangxi in the same period,the development of Confucian education in the Tusi area is comparatively sluggish.This is closely related to the particularity of the relationship between the Ming Dynasty’s central government and the Tusi area in Guangxi; at the same time,it is directly related to the rule policy of the Zhuang Nationality’s Tusi towards the broad masses of the Tusi people.
