The Convention on the Rights of the Child and Children's Participation

This Chapter examines the international children’s rights framework provided by the Convention on the Rights of the Child (CRC). It discusses the evolution of children’s rights, with particular attention on the development, meaning and significance of children’s participation rights, therefore laying the foundation for understanding the legal basis for children and young people’s participatory rights explored throughout the book.
