Prescriptive group of strategic planning models in the public sector

The basic idea of this paper is to provide to, at least to some extent, answers to the research questions about problems of choice, application and development of prescriptive group of strategic planning models in the public service, with a special emphasis on the police organization, using a short description and analysis of a sample of six specially selected models of strategic planning. The focus of the work is on the structure, contents, and, in particular, on the process of selected models and factors that determine the quality of their selection, application and development in order to get the best strategy and strategic products. The work also points to essential problems and deficiencies in modelling strategic planning and gives recomendations for their solution.
