Abstract
In an effort to obtain a more precise picture of the recently observed resonances in excitation functions for $sup 12$C($sup 12$C,$alpha$)$sup 20$Ne, $sup 10$B($sup 14$N,$alpha$)$sup 20$Ne and $sup 12$C($sup 12$C,$sup 8$Be)$sup 16$O at excitation energies in the region of 30 to 40 MeV in the corresponding compound nucleus $sup 24$Mg, angular distributions in this energy range have been measured for the $sup 12$C($sup 12$C,$sup 8$Be)$sup 16$O reaction.
