Abstract
Objective To investigate the changes of the serum level of high sensitive C-reactive protein(hs-CRP) in patients with cerebrovascular disease and its relationship to the severity of disease. Methods The serum level of hs-CRP in 114 patients with acute cerebrovascular disease and 90 healthy persons were determined. All the patients were scored by clinic neurological deficit scale (NDS),and compared in groups. Results The serum level of hs-CRP in the patients were significantly higher than that in normal controls(P0.001). Conclusion The serum level of hs-CRP is closely correlated with the severity of cerebrovascular disease.
