Cultivation Strategies of Cross-cultural Communicative Competence in College English Teaching

Abstract

The important subject of the current foreign language education research is to explore the cultivation of cross-cultural competence in college English teaching. Culture is used as the foundation of language, and the cultural factors of whether it can be carried out effectively have an impact on language communication. In college English teaching, cross-cultural concepts are integrated into teaching design, content, activities and evaluation. Explain the connotation and composition in the cross-cultural communicative competence and start with it. Through analyzing the theoretical framework, explore the meaning and content of the cross-cultural communicative competence in the content of college English teaching. In addition, the current situation of college English teaching combines qualitative analysis with quantitative analysis, and analyzes it in the form of questionnaires. Finally, suggestions on how to cultivate college students' cross-cultural communication skills are put forward. The purpose is for students to correctly use English as a medium, and calmly deal with cultural differences, so as to better promote the development of cross-cultural education.
