In recent decades, the main problem of the construction business, which constantly attracts the attention of specialists, has been its financial component. Now that such concentration has given a noticeable positive result, another, much more complex set of issues that requires equally enhanced analytics comes to the fore – the organization of management. The article develops a methodological path (concept) that can effectively and quickly solve this key task for practice. It is proposed to form an independent block of management organization methods-construction management as a related branch of a well-known scientific and applied discipline that even has a name that does not require translation – project management. The general outline of practical tasks and tools for managing the construction business that ensure the achievement of a properly set economic and consumer goal is outlined.
