The Cultivation of College Students' Ability to Construct Mathematical Model in Campus Education

Abstract

The mathematical modeling idea in higher mathematics is a bridge between mathematics and practical problems, and is a medium widely used in various fields of mathematics. For practical application problems, it can be solved by establishing mathematical model. For the cultivation of applied talents, it is necessary to integrate the mathematical modeling idea into the higher mathematics teaching. This paper studies the cultivation of the modeling ability of college students. This paper analyzes the current situation and essence of mathematics education, and puts forward the idea of infiltrating mathematical modeling while teaching basic mathematics theory and strengthening mathematics modeling teaching, so as to improve students' practical awareness and innovation ability. The research finds that in the process of university mathematics teaching, mathematical modeling can cultivate students' creative ability, train them to acquire information, and cultivate team cooperation consciousness, which plays an important role in improving students' comprehensive quality. In addition, the teaching of mathematical modeling has a very important enlightenment to the reform of traditional mathematics education.
