Abstract

A historical perspective is given of the accomplishments in hazardous waste management under the Resource Conservation and Recovery Act. In addition, relevant issues which will determine how these wastes will be handled in the future are discussed. Included are those issues which deal with the scope and substance of the Federal regulatory programs and those which deal with ways in which the Environmental Protection Agency and the States will administer the RCRA program.
