Abstract
Abstract This paper presents an analysis of the level of description of the main physical processes in the Earth’s atmosphere in modern models of the general circulation of the Earth’s atmosphere and gives a brief overview of the modern models used by the main forecasting centers. The promising directions of the development of models of the general circulation of the Earth’s atmosphere are discussed.
