Franz Kafka is considered one of the most important authors writing in German language of the twentieth century and his works are part of world literature. Many literary critics believe that Kafka and his works are difficult to understand. This difficulty arises from the fact that neither the person nor the works of Kafka can be classified in any way. He was born as the son of a Jewish family in Prague and wrote his works in German. Kafka only gained his fame and prominence after his death with the publication of the rest of his works, which he had bequeathed to his close Jewish friend Max Brod. Not only his biography but also his literary quality, which evades the conventional narrative forms, and his works have been widely and heatedly discussed among the writers. Is he a Jew ?, German ?, Czech? To which epoch do his works belong? Does he address Jewish issues in his works?
