Kafka and His Works in the Transcultural Horizon

Kafka,though a Western writer,cherished great affection towards the Chinese culture.He had read a large quantity of translated Chinese classics,poetry and legends.It is obvious that his thought and writings had been influenced by the Chinese culture.He was a Jew,but lived among Christians;he did not believe in Judaism,but he knew well the Christian thought.He wrote his works in German,though he knew Czech well.Kafka was a model of cross-culture writer in Europe in the 20th century.
