Abstract

The MySQL database server has been around for years and as such is a robust and practical piece of software. Its features are many and are powerful. MySQL is the most oft-used database in the world. It has to be good to earn that designation. Quite the accomplishment. Even compared to giant database vendors like Oracle, MySQL stands up to the task. SQL (Structured Query Language) is a simple database language to learn, and the server is easy to install, use, and configure.
