Abstract
The implementation of the Internet has been most extensive in the travel industries and its impact has been particularly significant on the distribution channel in air travel markets. Many travel agents are expanding the capability of the web site for selling travel services on the web to make use of the cheaper distribution channel. This paper attempts to examine the e-business impact on airlines and travel agents in air travel markets. In emerging e-business environment, the best way having competitive advantages in the air travel market is to capitalize on e-business platform for both airlines and travel agents. We focus on the survey on the impacts of e-business for travel agents in air travel markets, and suggest some implications on the e-business strategy for travel agents.
