Abstract
Biological diversity denotes the variability among living organisms from all sources including, inter alia, terrestrial, marine and other aquatic ecosystems and the ecological complexes of which they are part. This includes diversity within species, between species and ecosystems. Biodiversity of all ecosystems stabilizes the functions of these systems and their interactions with the surrounding ecosystems. One of the ecological aspects of sustainable agricultural production is biodiversity. By biodiversity preservation, i.e. the existing genetic, i.e. genotypic and phenotypic variants of species beneficial to agriculture, it is possible to count on agriculture stability.
