Biodiversity is defined by the Convention on Biological Diversity \n(CBD) as the variability among living organisms from all sources \nincluding , among others, terrestrial, marine and other aquatic \necosystems and the ecological complexes of which they are part; \nthis includes diversity within species , between species and of \necosystems.
