EPIDEMIOLOGICAL CHARACTERISTICS OF HEPATITIS B AFTER HBV VACCINE IMMUNIZATION IN HUAIAN

[Objective] To find out the epidemiological characteristics of HBV after HBV vaccine immunization in Huai' an since 1992,so as to provide the basis for the development of control strategies of Hepatitis B.[Methods] The data related to Hepatitis B and its vaccine from 1992 to 2008 years were analyzed by using the descriptive epidemiological method.[Results] Since 1992,the incidence of Hepatitis B in Huai'an showed an upward trend,and the incidence of Hepatitis B decreased significantly among the people under 15 years old.The proportion of the number of cases with Hepatitis B showed declined trend year by year.[Conclusion] It is necessary to control the epidemic of HBV for preventing viral hepatitis.The vaccination of Hepatitis B for people showed marked achievements about incidence of Hepatitis B.In order to effectively control the Hepatitis B,we should perform HBV vaccination for infant,carry out Hepatitis B vaccine for people under 15 years and people who are not immunization targeted people,and strengthen supervision of blood products,hospital infection management and strengthen health education.
