Abstract
Objective To explore the techniques and effects of endovascular embolization to intracranial aneurysms by detachable coils. Methods 68 cases with aneurysms were embolized with detachable coils. Results 52 of 71 aneurysms sac were 100 % embolized,12 of 71 were 95 % embolized,7 of 71 were 90 % embolized,2 cases ruptured during operation,5 cases happened cerebral vasospasm and 2 patients died.No rehaemorrhage after 3 ~ 30 months following-up in 42 cases. Conclusions Detachable coil occlusion is a safe and effective treatment for the intracranial aneurysms.Early embolization and effective post-operation treatment are the key of improving the outcomes.
