Endovascular treatment of intracranial aneurysms:analysis of 127 cases

Abstract
Objective To summarize clinical experience in endovascular treatment of intracranial aneurysms.Methods One hundred and twenty-seven patients with 131 intracranial aneurysms were treated by embolization with different treatment protocols,and the clinical data was analyzed.Results ① Intracranial aneurysms were embolized with Guglielmi Detachable Coil(GDC) in 120 patients with 124 aneurysms,nerve dysfunction occurred in 14 patients,and 4 patients died;11 aneurysms recurred in 2 months,8 of them were re-embolized and 3 were clipped by microsurgery.② Three patients with 3 aneurysms were treated with intracranial covered stent,with 1 dead.③ Four patients with 4 aneurysms were embolized by parent artery occlusion,none of them died.Conclusion Endovascular treatment is a minimally invasive,safe and effective technique for treating intracranial aneurysms.
