TREATMENT OF TRADITIONAL CHINESE MEDICIENCE ON 56 CASES OF ELDERLY DIABETIC PATIENTS WITH RESPIRATORY TRACT INFECTION

[Objective]To investigate respiratory tract infection in elderly diabetic patients treated with Traditional Chinese Medicience(TCM).[Methods]56 patients were randomly divided into treatment group and control group by sequential method,treatment group.In thetreatment group,patients were treated by the virtual set,set real evil syndrome,stage dialectical therapy,while in the control group Western medicine was used.The comparison of clinical efficacy and side effects were made between the 2 groups.[Results]22 patients completely recovered in the treatment group,and 5 ones got effective treatment,and the total effective rate was 96.43%;while in the control group 15 patients recovered completely,and 5 ones got effective treatment,ans the total effective rate was 71.43%.The statistical analysis showed that there were significant differences in the curing rate and total effective rate between the 2 groups(P﹤0.05)but no significant difference in adverse effects(P﹥0.05).[Conclusion]Chinese medicine treatment for respiratory tract infections in elderly diabetic patients have greater potential and advantages.
