[Objective]To investigate the dietary status and nutrition knowledge of the students in Health College of Hebei University in order to provide the basis for the strategy of health education. The questionnaire was used to investigate the general health state, the nutrition knowledge, the dietary status and life habit of the students. Food frequency method was used to investigate the condition of food intakes. [Results] The nutrition knowledge was relatively insufficient in some of the students, especially the male students and the low grade students. There were few students pay attention to the relation between nutrition and health. The average rate of students who did not have breakfast or did not have breakfast on time was 53.8%. 45.1% of the students ate the fried food frequently. Food frequency investigation showed that, according to Dietary Guidelines for Chinese residents, the in-takes of food such as milk, fish and fruit were not enough and the salt intakes of some students were excessive. [Conclusion] The nutrition education and nutrition intervention should be evolved earlier among the students in high school to improve body constitution and health of the students.
