Abstract

AIM:To study the chemical constituents of Astragalus ernestii.METHODS:Compounds 1-10 were isolated and purified by silica gel and Rp-18 column chromatography.Their structures were elucidated mainly by spectroscopic methods.RESULTS:Ten known compounds,3-O-β-D-xylopyraosyl-24S-cycloart-3β,6α,16β,24,25-pentaol-25-O-β-D-glucopyranoside (1),isoastragaloside Ⅳ (2),cyclocanthoside A (3),asernestioside C (4),6,3'-dihydroxy-2',4'-dimethoxyisoflavan-6-O-β-D-glucopyranoside (5),calycosin-7-O-β-D-glucoside (6),7,3'-dihydroxyl-6,4'-dimethoxyisoflavon-7-O-β-D-glucopyranoside (7),β-sitosterol (8),β-daucosterol (9),and sphondin (10),were isolated and structurally elucidated.CONCLUSION:Compounds 1-3,5-7 and 10 were isolated from this plant for the first time.
