Abstract

Objective To study the chemical constituents of Astragalus membranaceus var.mongholicus.Methods Compounds were isolated by various chromatographic techniques and their structures were elucidated on the basis of spectral analysis.Results Fourteen compounds were identified as(6aR,11R)-9,10-dimethoxypterocarpan-3-O-β-D-glucoside(1),(3R)-2′-hydroxy-3′,4′-dimethoxyisoflavan-7-O-β-D-glucoside(2),5′-hydroxy-3′-methoxyisoflavone-7-O-β-D-glucoside(3),formononetin-7-O-β-D-glucoside(4),(6aR,11R)-3-hydroxy-9,10-dimethoxy pterocarpan(5),(3R)-7,2′-dihydroxy-3′,4′-dimethoxyisoflavan(6),5′,7-dihydroxy-3′-methoxyisoflavone(7),formononetin(8),astragaloside IV(9),astragaloside II(10),sucrose(11),adenine riboside(12),monopalmitin(13),palmitic acid(14).Conclusion Compounds 5,7,11-14 were isolated from Astragalus genus for the first time,and 6 was obtained from this plant for the first time.
