Abstract

This paper studies the geological features, orebody features, geophysical and geochemical characteristics of the Houerdaogou copper-gold deposit in Inner Mongolia, and correlates the geological, geophysical and geochemical data to explore the relationship among the information. Then this work builds a comprehensive prospecting model for the deposit which is marked by favorable metallogenic geological condition, comprehensive anomalies of Au,Cu,Pb,Zn,As and other indicator elements, such as low resistivity, high polarizability and high magnetism. The comprehensive anomaly area may be the ore occurrence location. Through a preliminary analysis of metallogenic tectonic background and the three elements of mineralization( heat source, ore-forming fluid and materials),we build a model of ore deposits. It is inferred that there are three types of ore deposits,i. e.,skarn type ore deposit of copper-gold lead-zinc polymetallic, tectonic fracture zone type of copper-gold lead-zinc and quartz vein type of gold deposit.
