Abstract
With the challenge facing world’s energy security,growing attention has been devoted to the conversion of biomass into fuel ethanol,considered as a renewable and clean fuel alternative to fossil fuels.A review on the current state of fuel ethanol fermentation including biomass resources,enzymes,microorganisms and technology was given.The perspective about this field was also discussed.
