Abstract
[Objective] To study the roles of community-based intervention in improving the blood pressure level of patients with hypertension and in reducing the occurrence of its complications. [Methods] 214 cases were randomly divided into the community-based intervention group and the control group. Comprehensive community-based intervention was conducted to the community-based intervention group, and the blood pressure level and the occurrence of complications between before and after intervention were compared. [Results] The decrease amplitude of systolic pressure and diastolic pressure in the intervention group was significantly higher than that in the control group (P﹤0.01). The occurrence of complications in brain, heart and kidney of the intervention group were significantly lower than that of the control group (P﹤0.001). [Conclusion] Community-based intervention can effectively improve the blood pressure level of patients with hypertension and reduce the occurrence of its complications.
