Analysis on Incidence of Stomach Cancer from 2008 to 2010 in Yongkang City,Zhejiang Province

[Purpose] To investigate the incidence of stomach cancer from 2008 to 2010 in Yongkang city,Zhejiang province.[Methods] The data of medical record of new patients with stomach cancer were collected from Yongkang Medical Security Office and The First People's Hospital of Yongkang.The data covered a population of 1 703 031 person-year(male 868 777 person-year,female 834 254 person-year).Incidence,age-specific incidence,age-standardized incidence and proportions were analyzed.Chinese population sensus in 1982 and Segi's population were used for age-standardized incidence.[Results] The total newly diagnosed cancer cases from 2008 to 2010 were 4194,and the newly diagnosed stomach cancer cases were 503 with a proportion of 11.99%.The crude incidence of stomach cancer in Yongkang city was 29.54/105(male 38.68/105,female 20.02/105),age-standardized incidence by Chinese standard population(ASR China) was 17.86/105(male 24.27/105,female 11.8/105),The age-specific incidence increased with age,and 80+years old group reached the highest level with incidence of 222.12/105.[Conclusion] The incidence of stomach cancer is still high in Yongkang city from 2008 to 2010,prevention and control for stomach cancer should be strengthened.
