Abstract

This study was conducted to examine the activity of TGF α mRNA by RT RCR technique in the mouse oviduct,uterus and ovary at the time of ovulation and during days 1 5 of pregnancy.A very strong activity of TGF α mRNA was observed in the oviduct,the uterus and the ovary of the mouse during the whole period studied.The levels of expression in the oviduct and the ovary did not change markedly,but the level of expression declined in the uterus on day 5 of pregnancy.These results suggested that TGF α,in the way of paracrine,may play a key role in mouse early embryo development.
