Abstract
Objective To observe the effect of Schisandra Chinensis Baill distilled by ethanol on acetylcholinesterase and neurotransmitter in aged mice model induced by D-galactose.Methods 5% D-galactose saline solution was injected into neck back subcutaneous tissue of mice to make the aged mice model for 40 days. From the 11th day, mice were filled with big, small dosage of Schisandra Chinensis Baill distilled by ethanol,Naokangling troche and the same dosage of saline solution everyday respectively. The blank control group was given hypertonic saline.Experiment was started on 2 h after giving D-galactose and Schisandra Chinensis Baill distilled by ethanol in the last time. The activity of acetylcholinesterase (AchE) and the level of monoamine neurotransmitter in brain tissue were detected. Results Compared with model group, big dosage of Schisandra Chinensis Baill distilled by ethanol notably reduced the activity of AChE of mice, increased the level of nonadrenaline and dopamine, and increased the level of 5-hydroxytryptamine (5-HT) in the brain. Conclusions Schisandra Chinensis Baill distilled by ethanol could effectively adjust and improve the central neurotransmitter synthesis and be beneficial to learning and memory improvement and anti-brain aging.
