Abstract

[Objective] To study the effect of benzene, toluene, xylene occupational exposure on DNA damage in female jewel processing workers.[Methods] Measured the concentrations of benzene, toluene, xylene in working environment, and DNA damage by single cell gel-electrophoresis.[Results] The TWA of benzene was higher than national standard, the DNA damage rate of observation group(6.93%) was higher than that in control group(3.17%).[Conclusion] Exposure to benzene, toluene, xylene could induce DNA damage on female workers' peripheral blood cells.
