Abstract
[Objective]To investigate the value of right ventricular Tei index in the diagnosis of chronic pulmonary heart disease by echocardiography.[Methods] A total of 65 patients diagnosed as chronic pulmonary heart disease and 46 healthy volunteers as a control group were analyzed by using ultrasound examination for measuring and calculating the right ventricle Tei index.Ultrasound measurement norms included the right atrium horizontal path, the right ventricle horizontal path, the right ventricle anterior wall thickness, pulmonary main artery diameter, using tricuspid valve regurgitation to estimate arterial systolic pressure.[Results] A total of 25 patients had relatively obvious cardiopulmonary disease ultrasound signs, and A total of 32 patients without obvious two-dimensional ultrasound changes but had different degrees of pulmonary artery high blood pressure, ultrasound diagnosis for conventional ultrasound cardiograph. The other eight patients without characteristic echocardiography apearance and tricuspid or pulmonary artery regurgitation were judged as normal cardiac performance. However, the right ventricular Tei index of all these three groups were increased significantly compared with those of the healthy volunteers.[Conclusion] Right ventricle Tei index is a relatively sensitive indicator for reflecting cardiac function as a whole.
