Indoor air quality, an important indicator of public health, affects not only human health but also the quality of life. Therefore, the monitoring and control of outdoor air quality as well as indoor air quality is also important. In this study, the important cases affecting indoor air pollutants, the sources of indoor pollutants, the indoor air pollutants and the detection methods for the contaminants of indoor air were explained. Additionally, the standards applied for the control of indoor air pollutants in Europe and other countries were compared.
