Results The average mortality rate of stomach cancer was 29.71 / 105, with a standardized rate of 22.60 / 105. The mortality rate of stomach cancer in ten spots were between 9.86 / 105 and 64.22 / 105, and the difference was significant (χ2=918.57, P0.000 1), among which Yan ting and Kang ding ranked the first and second with the standardized mortality rate of 7.30 / 105 and 40.21 / 105. The mortality rate of stomach cancer increased with the age (P0.000 1). The male mortality rate of stomach cancer (28.88 /105) was higher than that of the female (15.72 / 105) (χ2=264.87, P0.000 1). Conclusion There was an upward trend of mortality rate of stomach cancer in Sichuan residents, the rates of Yan ting and Kang ding county were reaching up to the standard of high-incidence area, stomach cancer was the main malignant tumor against health of middle-age and elder's people.
