Abstract

[Objective] This research was to study the solubility of ferulic acid in supercritical carbon dioxide and its variation regulations.[Method] The solubility of ferulic acid in supercritical carbon dioxide was determined by dynamic method, and quantified by HPLC.Chrastil model and del Valle-Aguilera modified model were proposed to correlate and predict the solubility in supercritical fluid.[Result] Under the conditions of 10-30 MPa and 313.15-343.15 K,the mol fractions of the ferulic acid solubility were from 10-6 to 10-4.The AARD was 15.18% for Chrastil model and 7.003% for del Valle-Aguilera modified model.[Conclusion] The modified solubility model proves to be more valid for the solubility correlation of ferulic acid.
