Abstract
The unique direction of the Russian-Brazilian cultural cooperation is the relations in the sphere of ballet art, which show the contribution of Russian masters of choreographic art to the formation of an original Brazilian ballet theatre and national ballet school, which is now recognized in many countries around the world. The aim of the article is to determine what influence Russian dancers and representatives of the Russian choreographic school have had on the formation of classical ballet in Brazil. In this article on the basis of various narrative sources with the involvement of research by Soviet, Russian and Brazilian authors were identified and commented on the stages of formation of the Brazilian ballet theater, related to the activities of stars of Russian ballet: artists, teachers, choreographers.
